Don Rolfe President
Mr. Rolfe is a mine engineer with over thirty years of mining industry experience. His career has included positions of Senior Mine Engineer, Chief Mine Engineer, Mine Foreman, Mine Superintendent and Mine Manager with several leading U.S. companies including Anaconda, Hecla, Union Carbide and Homestake. Rolfe has extensive knowledge of the mine planning and development process along with expertise related to the mining of various minerals including gold, silver, uranium, tungsten, phosphate, and bentonite clay.
Kevin Shiell Chairman of the Board
Mr. Shiell has over 29 years of mining experience and is currently a mine superintendent with a major mining company. He has previously served as mine superintendent, mine foreman and operations manager with other mining companies in the western United States. He has extensive experience with mine construction, start-up and full production operations, as well as with safety and staffing issues.
Steve Cutler V.P. of Exploration
Mr. Cutler is a seasoned geologist boasting over 23 years of experience in the mining industry, having worked with a variety of companies throughout the western United States including Battle Mountain Gold, Amax Gold, Stillwater Mining Company, and Coeur d'Alene Mines. Mr. Cutler has amassed a broad technical experience base encompassing grass roots exploration, advanced stage development projects, production geology, operations management and mine permitting, along with considerable practical knowledge pertaining to both underground and open pit gold and platinum group metals deposits. Mr. Cutler holds a Bachelor's degree in geology from MSU Bozeman and a Master's degree in economic geology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks
De Anna Dwyer Corporate Secretary and Treasurer
Mrs. Dwyer holds a BA in accounting and an AS in Business Management from the University of Anchorage Alaska, and previously worked for several Pacific Northwest companies such as the Eastridge Group and Chenega Management and also enjoyed an overseas assignment for the Department of Defense in the NAF office.
Raymond De Motte Director
Mr. De Motte has been President and Director of Sterling Mining since 1998. Prior to that, he was Controller of Garrett Hewitt International (formerly a Mckesson Company). He has degrees in Business Administration from Golden Gate University and the American College of Switzerland and is a member of several professional organizations. He currently serves as an officer and/or director of several other private mining companies.
Radford Langston Director
Mr. Langston has over 20 years in the mining industry and is a consulting professional engineer, with a Bachelor Degree in Geology (Professional Emphasis) from the University of Montana and a Masters Degree in Geosciences (Geological Engineering Emphasis) from Montana Tech of the University of Montana. Mr. Langston is also a "Rock Mechanics" specialist, with many years of practical application in operating mines, focusing upon; stability analysis, ground support systems, rock mechanics instrumentation, seismic analysis, geologic interpretation, geo-statistical modeling and diamond drill programs. Mr. Langston has authored and/or co-authored more than 20 publications on related topics.
Terry Rice
Director
Mr. Rice has an extensive underground mining background that includes employment with CC Resources, Asarco and Intermountain Mineral Engineers. He has worked as a metallurgist, mill superintendent, environmental supervisor, and mining operations supervisor. He has a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Idaho.
Warren Geiger Director
Mr. Geiger has a wealth of experience having worked on numerous exploration and development projects, mainly in North America. Mr. Geiger has held prominent positions with several mining companies including as President of Aquarius Resources Ltd., Arizona Star Resource Corp, Nevada Star Resource Corp and Vice President of Alberta Star Mining Corp. Arizona Star developed a million tonne ore reserve on a detachment-related gold deposit in Arizona. Nevada Star has explored excellent mining properties in Nevada, Alaska and Sonora, Mexico. Alberta Star Mining Corp. undertook active exploration of two major properties in the Great Bear magmatic zone of Canada's Northwest Territories. The potential is for large tonnage polymetallic deposits containing such elements as gold, silver, copper, cobalt, bismuth, tungsten and uranium.
