The Rescue Gold Mine has been established as the main focus of Kimberly Gold Mines.
The author of our recently obtained 43-101 report stated, "Kimberly Gold Mines, Inc. should make the Rescue Mine their first priority as this property has the greatest potential to yield resources defined to an adequate degree of confidence to allow further development of the property.
The geology of this property is most predictable in terms of defining additional mineralization and the potential to discover additional mineralized shoots is high thereby boosting the tonnage per vertical foot and the economics for development. The Rescue Mine also has a small mill on site, with demonstrated ability to recover gold mineralization from the Rescue Mine mineralization."
Overview
Kimberly Gold acquired the Rescue Mine and Mill located 30 miles southeast of the Kimberly Gold Mine. The Project consists of all the assets associated with the property, including the mining claims, milling facility, mining equipment, water and timber rights, and site permits.
The Rescue Mine is a former gold producer that follows an east-west striking quartz vein hosted in granodiorite with mineralization contained in three separate ore-shoots, all of which are open along-strike and at depth.
Historical grades averaged nearly 1 ounce of gold per ton with roughly 60of the mineralization in the form of free gold and the remainder associated with sulfides. Metallurgical studies from prior operators indicate that 88of the free gold is recoverable by a gravity circuit and up to 80of the sulfide-hosted gold is recoverable by either leaching or roasting.
The Rescue Mine is believed to be similar in nature to the nearby Unity Mine which also exploits the Rescue Vein. The two mines are separated by approximately 0.5 mile of unexplored strike length, all of which has the potential to host additional mineralization.
Channel sampling within Rescue Mine returned gold assays as high as 9.6 ounces of gold per ton over 2 feet width, 7.4 opt gold over 1 foot width, and 5.5 opt gold over 1 foot width.
Infrastructure
The Rescue Mill is a 120-ton-per-day facility located on the Rescue Mine site. The mill allows for the embark on trial production effort from both the Rescue Mine and the nearby Kimberly Mine with the longer term objective of supporting sustained operations from both projects.
The Rescue Mine project has considerable mining equipment, including surface excavation equipment, power generators, air compressors, pneumatic drills, LHD and haulage fleet, maintenance and shop equipment, pumps and other essential items.
District Geology
The Rescue Vein is an east-west striking, moderately to steeply south-dipping quartz vein hosted in granodiorite. Rescue's known gold mineralization is contained in three separate ore-shoots (all open at depth), and consists of free gold (60 and gold associated with sulfides (40. Metallurgical studies indicate that 88 of the free gold is recoverable by gravity methods, and up to 80of the gold in sulfide concentrate is recoverable by cyanide leaching or roasting.
